Eat & Drink

For being such a small town, Traverse City has amazing food!  Many world renowned chefs find have found their way up North and we certainly reap the benefits! We haven't even made a dent in trying all the restaurants in town, but you can find our favorites below!

Breakfast

Best cinnamon rolls on Earth!  The downtown location is quite small and often crowded, but has a great atmosphere.  The location on Front St. (east of downtown) has looootss of space.

Brew
Coffee shop during the day, Bar at night.

One of those restaurants that has been around forever where all the locals go.  It's quite small, but we love the atmosphere!

A short drive outside of town. A restaurant recently revived from the 1960's.  Food's great, lots of tables.

Lunch/Dinner/Drinks

One of our ABSOLUTE FAVORITES Located on Old Mission Peninsula.  Great food, reaaallly great atmosphere.  Known for serving delicious, locally brewed beers.

Local Brewery with amazing beer, great food and a fun atmosphere.  It's located JUST west of downtown and is pretty large so you can pretty much bet on getting seated even at a busy time.

Located west of town, typical 1950's drive-in diner atmosphere/menu, great milkshakes...but CASH ONLY!

Large restaurant on the south-west side of downtown.  Southern style bbq, pizzas and the best mac'n'cheese we've ever had.  They smoke their own meats.

Great food and beer. Smoke their own meats. Perfect location smack in the center of downtown.

Cool atmosphere, right downtown.  Great sushi and Asian dishes.

Soul food.

Take a guess at their specialty ;)  Sandwiches, salads, coffees and a HUGE selection of beer.

Right Brain Brewery
Micro-brewery & bar.

Pizza.

We love this place.  They serve American/BBQ and Mexican food.  Odd combination, but they do each really well!
Great burgers.  Hand cut fries.

Mexican food.  Large restaurant, just outside of downtown.

Voted USA Today #1 ice cream in the country.  A bit of a drive into the countryside, but worth it!  They also serve a limited selection of flavors downtown at a couple of stores.
